A round table meeting on the opportunities and possibilities that would be available in East Turkistan Case was held in the Hague, the Netherlands

To discuss the opportunities that the international situation would bring to East Turkestan and the possibilities we had, a round table meeting on the opportunities and possibilities that would be available in East Turkisan Case was held in partnership with Uyghur Radio – Television and European Branch of  Uyghur Academy on Saturday 29 February 2020 in the Hague, the Netherlands.

Uygur Academy Executive Director Abdulhamit Karahan conducted the meeting.

The meeting started with the East Turkistan National Anthem.

Uyghur Radio-Television director Abdussalam Niyaz made the opening speech at the meeting. In His speech, he said they came together to talk about the opportunities and facilities brought by the international situation along with the increasing oppression of China in East Turkestan after 2017 and expressed gratitude to the participants from all over the world.

Then, Dr. Isajan Abidin, a member of the European Branch of Uyghur Academy emphasized the establishment and activities of the Uyghur Academy in Europe and stated that he had been working to strengthen the East Turkistan case in Europe by organizing activities for the intellectual Uyghurs in Europe. In the end, he hoped the meeting would come to a successful conclusion.

The round table meeting, which lasted for one day, was proceeded to discuss on issues related to the East Turkistan case.

The comments made at the meeting were recorded and decided to be relayed to the organizations and activists concerned.

At the same time, the meeting recognized the need for frequent exchanges of views and discussions on the important work to be done in the future among heads of organizations and activists working for East Turkistan case.
