Alt\u0131 bin alt\u0131 y\u00fcz k\u0131rk be\u015f beyitten olu\u015fan alegorik ve sembolik bir eserdir. Ak\u0131l (\u00f6gdilmi\u015f), adalet (K\u00fcn Togd\u0131), devlet (Ay Told\u0131), kanaat (Odgurmu\u015f) ad\u0131 verilen d\u00f6rt sembolik \u015fah\u0131s konu\u015fturularak bilginin \u00f6nemi ve ideal insan tipi ortaya konulmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u0130slami T\u00fcrk edebiyat\u0131n\u0131n bilinen ilk b\u00fcy\u00fck eseridir. Eserin, M\u0131s\u0131r, Herat ve Fergana olmak \u00fczere \u00fc\u00e7 n\u00fcshas\u0131 bulunmaktad\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada, Kutadgu Bilig\u2019deki mental fiillerden duygu fiilleri incelenmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n amac\u0131, fiilleri y\u00fcklendikleri anlamlara g\u00f6re de\u011ferlendirmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmakt\u0131r. Mental fiiller, anlambilim temeline dayal\u0131 olarak incelenmektedir. Anlambilim, dilde kodlanm\u0131\u015f anlamlarla ilgilenmektedir. Anlam, bir kelimeden, bir davran\u0131\u015f veya olgudan anla\u015f\u0131lan \u015fey, m\u00e2n\u00e2 demektir. Yap\u0131 bak\u0131m\u0131ndan, k\u00f6k, g\u00f6vde ve birle\u015fik fiiller olmak \u00fczere \u00fc\u00e7 ba\u015fl\u0131kta tasnif edilmi\u015ftir.
