\"\"<\/a>Abdurehim Tilesh\u00fcp \u00d6tk\u00fcr (1923-5 October 1995) was a popular Uyghur author and poet.<\/p>\n

\u00d6tk\u00fcr was born in Kumul, Uyghur Autonomous Region. He graduated from Xinjiang University in 1942. He then worked as the editor of the newspaper Altay Geziti till 1949. From 1949 till 1980 he worked as an interpreter in various governmental offices\u2014as he knew Uyghur, Chinese, Russian and English all well.
\nFrom 1980 to his death \u00d6tk\u00fcr worked as a scholar in the Institute of Literature Studies of the Academy of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Xinjiang. In 1988 was appointed as a Vice Chairman of the Society of Kutadgu Bilig Studies.<\/p>\n

Works<\/p>\n

\u00d6tk\u00fcr first published his poems in 1940. The poems “Tarim Boyliri” (Along Tarim) and “Y\u00fcrek Mungliri” (Melodies of the heart) were very popular. His last novels, “Iz” (The Track) and “Oyghanghan Zimin” (The Awakened Land), became some of the most popular novels among Uyghur people. Abdurehim Otkur

We were young when we started our journey,
\nNow our grand-children are able to ride on horses.<\/span><\/p>\n

We were very few when started our journey,
\nNow we’re advancing and left traces on the desert.<\/p>\n

Our traces are in the deserts and in the valleys,
\nThere are many heroes buried in the desert with no grave.<\/p>\n

Don’t say they were left without graves,
\nTheir graves covered with flowers in the Spring.<\/p>\n

Left the crowd, left the scene, they are all faraway,
\nWind blows, sand moves, yet our trace never disappears.<\/p>\n

The caravan never stops even our horses become thin,
\nOur grand-children or great-grand-children will one day find\u00a0those traces.<\/p>\n

\nEmdi chong karvan atalduq, qaldurup chollerde iz.<\/p>\n

Qaldi iz choller ara, gayi davanlarda yene,
\nQaldi ni-ni arslanlar dexit cholde qevrisiz.<\/p>\n

Qevrisiz qaldi dimeng yulghun qizarghan dalida,
\nGul-chichekke pukinur tangna baharda qevrimiz.<\/p>\n

Qaldi iz, qaldi menzil, qaldi yiraqta hemmisi,
